Vincent

Vincent is a trend forecaster and partner at HBMEO, marketing agency for food & hospitality. He advises companies and governments on what we are going to eat, drink, and think in the future, as well as writing trend columns for various magazines.

Vincent has always been intrigued by hotels and wrote a book about his search for hospitality in 365 hotels in Amsterdam. He is currently researching the future of the industry by testing various innovations in the hotel room of the future, a living lab in the centre of Amsterdam.

Hospitality and innovation are the two key themes in Sander’s career which he spends in motivational speaking & consultancy for Allegro INNovations and in the hotel industry as chairman of Quality Lodgings, a collection of 120 independent Boutique. As consultant and speaker on hospitality strategy and innovation, Sander has carried out strategic assignments for leading corporations. He also serves on various committees and boards, guest lectures at international MBA programs, is a regular keynote speaker and is a columnist for leading Dutch hospitality magazine. 

MARTIN DUCHATEAU

Martin

Martin Duchateau is a highly experienced hospitality entrepreneur and revenue management expert based in Brussels. As the Owner of Made in Hotels, he oversees two boutique hotels and leads various hospitality ventures, including Made in Louise and Made in Catherine. With a career spanning over 20 years, Martin has held leadership roles in companies such as Radisson Blu, Design Hotels, and Hilton, where he specialized in revenue optimization, hotel openings, and strategic consultancy.

Through his company Made in Hospitality, he also provides consulting services focusing on revenue management, feasibility studies, and operational training. In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Martin serves as administrator at the Brussels Hotels Association, contributing his expertise to the wider industry.

I am a dynamic and entrepreneurial Managing Director with over 30 years of international experience in 5-star luxury hospitality across five continents. My background combines strong operational expertise with a strategic focus on adapting hotels to a fast-paced and ever-evolving market. I am passionate about leading high-performing teams, driving results, and consistently exceeding guest expectations, while maximizing value for owners.

STEPHAN STOKKERMANS

Stephan Stokkermans

Stephan Stokkermans is an experienced hospitality professional and Managing Director of Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, the iconic independent five-star hotel on the Dutch coast in Noordwijk aan Zee. He has been with the hotel for over 30 years and has served as Managing Director since 2016. In his role, he is closely involved in the continued development of the hotel while preserving the character, heritage and independent spirit that have defined Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin for generations.

Alongside his role at Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, Stephan is actively involved in several national and international hospitality networks. He serves as Vice President of the European Hotel Managers Association (EHMA), Chairman of Hotel Alliance Nederland, and is a member of the Global Hotel Advisory Board of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. He is also an Ambassador for the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam.

With his extensive experience and international perspective, Stephan is a strong advocate for collaboration, knowledge sharing and strengthening the position of independent hotels. Through his various roles, he contributes to the exchange of expertise and to conversations around the future and continued development of the hospitality industry.
