Slapen in de Molen/Sleeping in a dutch windmill, is a unique experience. They have created 4 luxurious rooms inside the monumental mill, called the Jan van Arkel. Embracing the old elements and using the old colors that were found in the mill. Every room has it’s own theme, like Delfts Blue, Dutch Design or the Golden Age. The hotel is based on contactless stay, so people can check in by themself. Breakfast is delivered by their local bakery, the guests can pull the bag with breakfast up by the old flour shaft. Every Saturday the miller is working on the mill, and guests have the opportunity to see how the mill works. 

The hotel is located in the little town Arkel in the Alblasserwaard near to the old city Gorinchem. So people can explore the area, there is so much to do. Gorinchem as old fortified town has so much history, nice restaurants. The polders of the Alblasserwaard are beautiful and nice to explore by bicycle, or go down the river De Linge in a eco-boat and see the blossom route. There is enough history and nature to discover. It doesn’t get more Dutch then there.
