The Independent Hotel of the Year Award celebrates outstanding independent hotels that embody individuality, excellence and innovation, while creating exceptional experiences for their guests and making a positive contribution to the wider hospitality industry.
New for 2027: two award categories
This year, we're recognising the diversity of independent hospitality by splitting Independent Hotel of the Year into two categories:
Independent Hotel of the Year: Under 50 Rooms
Celebrating smaller independent hotels that prove you don't need to be big to make an impact. This award recognises hotels with fewer than 50 rooms that demonstrate exceptional hospitality, a distinctive identity and a strong commitment to their guests and team.
Independent Hotel of the Year: Over 50 Rooms
Recognising independent hotels with more than 50 rooms that continue to deliver an outstanding guest experience at scale, while maintaining the individuality, character and independent spirit that sets them apart.
Above all, we're looking for hotels that are committed to developing their teams, driving their business forward and helping to shape the future of independent hospitality.
