Marijke started her first hospitality business at the age of 22. Since then, driven by her passion for the hospitality industry, she has founded various hospitality businesses. She is currently the owner of three businesses: Biercafé Doerak, Café het Klooster, and Slijterij Hoptic in Delft. In recent years, she has been active at the local level in various advisory committees, focus groups, and initiatives on behalf of the hospitality industry, or at an umbrella organization representing entrepreneurs in the region. She was also politically active as a city councilor in Delft. Since March 7, 2023, Marijke Vuik has been Chair of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland.
