Vlatka Barcan
With over 20 years in the Hospitality industry, Vlatka Barčan moved quickly through the management ranks, eventually stepping into her latest role as Revenue and Profitability Consultant. Before founding her company AAYA Group, she led Revenue for 16 hotels across major European cities as a Group Director of Revenue at Sircle Collection, including hotel brands Sir Hotels, Max Brown Hotels, and Park Centraal.
Previously she was Regional Revenue Director for citizenM, overseeing revenue for all operating and opening U.S. hotels, as well as managing a team of Revenue Directors. During this time she had a pivotal role guiding the brand through its largest period of growth and expansion. In 2018, she implemented and maintained all rates strategies for 7 luxury properties, within New York and Miami markets through Area Revenue director role, followed by Senior Director of Revenue Strategy role at RevROC in 2019. Vlatka was overseeing revenue of 15 properties within key US Markets and a Team of Revenue Analysts, Managers and Area Revenue Directors during her time at RevROC. Her real hotel passion became revenue when she started a revenue leadership role as Area Revenue Director at Millennium Hotels, managing hotels in New York and Boston markets. Vlatka even ventured as a founder of 5th Revenue Consulting Company during her time in Manhattan, where she helped individual hotels with Ad Hoc projects.
Vlatka graduated from the University of Rijeka with a Master’s degree in Economics and Hotel Management and went on to work with high-end hotel groups across the United States and Croatia. She already fell in love with Hospitality during her Hotel and Tourism Highschool days in Zagreb. The operations management career started as Front Office Manager at The Norwich Inn, Vermont and summarised her role as Assistant General Manager before moving to New York City. At The Pierre, a Taj Hotel, she started her New York City career transitioning from Assistant Restaurant Manager to Guest Relations Manager. Director of Reservations, Revenue Manager and Sales Manager roles defined her at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel.
Vlatka's mission is to help independent, Luxury and Lifestyle hotels meet their goals through customised strategies. Ms. Barčan is passionate about delivering exceptional results and value for the company and our guests, while constantly seeking new opportunities to learn and grow in the field.
