A sustainable look for Kimpton de Witt Hotel
)
The entrence of the Kimpton de Witt Hotel in Amsterdam is a real Instagram hotspot. The text “and breathe” in pink neon letters immediately gives meaning to this wall. A plant wall like this absorbs CO2 and converts it into oxygen. A nice atmosphere to stay for a night in the busy Dutch capital.
In the spring of 2017, Kimpton De Witt opened its first hotel outside of the US. For the European location, the old Crowne Plaza Hotel in Amsterdam was chosen. Under the guidance of London-based architectural firm Michaelis Boyd, a total renovation was started at the end of 2016 to transform the old hotel into a ’boutique hotel’. A Kimpton De Witt hotel is characterized by its own personal style and an intimate atmosphere. An outdoor green façade of Sempergreen, placed at the entrance of the hotel, fits in perfectly with this style.
Sustainable appearance with green facade
Adding greenery to the design of the hotel, fits seamlessly with the philosophy of Kimpton De Witt. The outdoor SemperGreenwall gives the Kimpton De Witt Hotel a sustainable appearance and immediately catches the eye when entering the building.
