Special hotel experience created by YPRT designed by Vince Stroop (Stonehill Taylor)
YPRT wants to give the IHS visitors a special hotel concept that is made in our factory by a team of craftsmanship professionals.
Stonehill Taylor's concept is called 'Hotel IRUS'. The concept aims to transcend national and cultural barriers and to celebrate multiculturalism and community.
Vince Stroop's idea for the IRUS concept
The IRUS is a pop-up travel concept rooted in the trend towards an "immersive experience". It takes its name from an abstraction of the word "iris", the part of the anatomy that gives color to the human eye, and mixed with the concept of "us" as in all "us" within the community. While the personal pod's room is designed to be isolated in an abstracted forest, the space is just as suitable for a rooftop in New York's urban jungle as it is clustered to create a community on the coast of Turkey. The guest is given a toolbox with which the user can transform the space to sleep, eat or relax according to insight.
