MD, Blooming Hotels
The blooming hospitality group of companies, with its hotel and villa in a small North Sea village called Bergen, the estate 'Het Hof' and the beach pavilion, is from 2017 under the leadership of CEO, Mike Bosman. Until 2013, Bosman led an international life and was in charge of a small hotel in Saint Tropez, France, then the F&B of "The Belfry" in England and again later the operations of "Vale do Lobo" in Portugal. His last appointment abroad was as Associate Hotel Director on the world's largest cruise ship "The Oasis of the Seas" in Miami. "Of course a nice list of companies but at blooming I am at home", says Mike. "The beautiful real estate is all kept in a foundation, we rent it to operate the hotel and catering industry. The profit we make is paid out in what we call social dividends and that is reflected in wonderful projects and collaborations". blooming, spelled with a lowercase letter b (from the English verb 'to bloom') won gold, just before Covid, in the category large hotels in 'Zoover' and was awarded 'The Most Sustainable Hotel In The Netherlands'. "We do not just add CSR to what we do, we do not just work on sustainability for commercial reasons ' it simply is part of our DNA ' and the guest acknowledges that".
