Nicholas Oakwell

A British couturier with over 30 years’ experience in the fashion industry, Nicholas Oakwell had his entire degree collection bought by Harvey Nichols.

Oakwell’s training in Couture lead him to open his Couture House in 2011 with his debut collection Sylvia shown in Claridge’s Hotel then within 18months showing at Couture Fashion Week in Paris. The Victoria and Albert Museum selected a piece from his debut collection as part of the Ballgown Collection.

Specialising in beautifully cut evening wear and highly flattering tailoring, the label is also famous for the intricate embellishments that have become the Oakwell signature.

Nicholas’s creations are regularly seen on the red carpet with celebrities as Hilary Swank, Helen Mirren, Gillian Anderson, Paloma Faith, Naomie Harris, Natalie Dormer, Jane Fonda, to name a few.

Nicholas Oakwell was recognised indeed as ‘one of the more influential people in the British hospitality industry’ by the Financial Times with clients such as Nobu Mayfair, Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, Rosewood, Ten Trinity Four Seasons, Connaught, Claridge’s, Carlton Tower Jumeriah, Corinthia, Lucky Cat Gordon Ramsay, Maison Estelle, Estelle Manor, to name a few.

NO Uniform’s portfoliocontinues to reach globally with clients as Raffles Doha, Fairmont Doha, Dorado Beach Hotel Porto Rico, Badrutt’s Palace Hotel St. Moritz, Les Trois Rois Basel, Ritz Carlton Singapore, Fontainebleau Miami and many more.

Oakwell’s passion for design and service continued with the opening of the sister company NO Branding in 2019, supporting clients such as The Fife Arms, Rosewood London, The Audley Mayfair and The Ritz London with their continued branding needs.

Along with producing high quality uniforms, Oakwell entered into the cleaning industry in 2021 for uniforms as the industry was lacking a quality service to support the luxury 5-star market. Cleaned by NO Uniform has been set up primarily for the hospitality market and clients include Rosewood, Ten Trinity, Maison Estelle.
